Government ETEI, Kendrapara, was established in 1973 to cater to the growing need for quality teacher education in the region. Initially known as the Secondary Training School, Kendrapara, the institution focused on training teachers for secondary education. In 2014, following the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) guidelines, it was renamed as Government Elementary Teacher Education Institution (ETEI), Kendrapara. The institution currently offers a two-year D.El.Ed program, preparing future educators with the skills and knowledge needed to shape young minds. Located 84 kilometers from Bhubaneswar, the college continues to serve as a cornerstone of teacher training in the Kendrapara district.
